Sin City Comedy

Sin City Comedy Show plays at Planet Hollywood on a daily basis, right above the main casino.  This is a show that is constantly changing as the performers are touring comedians that vary depending on when you go.  For our performance, we got to see 3 top rate comedians for about 90 minutes, and it was definitely worth our time.  There were also 2 burlesque performers, giving it that true Las Vegas flair.

One negative was the seating.  It's pretty tight in there and there are no tables available to keep your drinks on.  When entering there is a notice that there is a 1-drink minimum, however, thankfully, it wasn't enforced.

This is also a show that's available on "House Seats" often, so you can get in for free if you belong to this club for Las Vegas locals.

The Dillinger

 The Dillinger
 The Bugsy

In Boulder City, NV, the best burger in town (and maybe the best burger I've ever had) is at The Dillinger.

We ordered the signature burger, the Dillinger, which is a bacon cheeseburger that is topped with a very moist beef brisket. The burgers are huge (1/2 lb.), but delicious and even when cooked to medium well remain moist and juicy. It's clear someone in the kitchen knows their way around a burger and a grill. The Dillinger is then topped with cheese, strips of bacon, and a nice sized portion of some of the best beef brisket I have ever tasted.

The Bugsy, similar to the Dillinger, has cheese and bacon, and then has a healthy portion of sautéed onions on top. The onions were surprisingly sweet onions that were cooked to a soft state and paired wonderfully with the burger base.

We had read on FourSquare to try the onion rings. The burgers come with french fries with the option to upgrade to onion rings. The onion rings were phenomenal. The onions were cooked through while the outside was crispy and crunchy.

The service was friendly, although the restaurant was busy for a Saturday late afternoon.

Max Brenner, Philadelphia

 Chicken Alfredo
Chocolate Hazelnut Crepes with Strawberries

When I need to satisfy my sweet tooth at dinner time, Max Brenner, in center city, serves decadent chocolate entrees as well as delicious dinners and lunches. We've enjoyed brunch here during the Mummers Parade on New Years Day, and recently stopped by for dinner.

For dinner we ordered the chicken alfredo entree, which was absolutely delicious. The chicken was tender, the sauce addicting and a perfect portion.

We also ordered the chocolate hazelnut crepes with strawberries that was on their specials. It was served with a little vial of chocolate ganache to pour over. Chocolate hazelnut filling and little crunchy things inside the crepe, as well as strawberries inside and outside made the crepe decadent and sweet.

The kitchen is open until 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and open until 1 a.m. Fridays and Saturdays. Max Brenners is the perfect location for dinner after a show at the Kimmel Center, which is only mere blocks away.
