Jelly Belly Factory

The Jelly Belly Factory in Fairfield, CA is a great place for anyone who is a fan of their jelly beans. During the tour you'll learn both about the history of the company, as well as the process to make the jelly beans. You'll also see artwork that has been made with their jelly beans including portraits of Mickey Mouse and various politicians.

Be aware though, that the line for the tour can get quite long. We had to wait about an hour for our tour. And then the tour itself takes about one hour. It is definitely worth the wait though, and you can also get a free sampling of jelly beans before and after your tour.

Old Faithful Geyser of California

The Old Faithful Geyser of California is located within the Napa Valley and is a great side trip away from the wineries for an hour. The timing of the geyser varies by season and you can check with the front desk to see how long it will be until the next eruption.

You can get pretty close to the geyser, but don't try to go past the signs. We saw one woman do this and her leg went all the way into the mud up to her hips.

There are also spots here for picnics and you can bring your own food and wine, which makes it a great spot for lunch.

Located in Napa Valley, the Petrified Forest gives visitors to the region the opportunity to take a break from wine tasting. It takes about an hour to hike through the forest and you'll get to see some unique sights along the way as you can see trees that have been petrified for millions of years. This is definitely worth the time for anyone who enjoys hiking and nature.
