Bok Tower Gardens
Written by Matt Rosenfeld
About 1 hour south of Orlando is the Bok Tower Gardens, a National Historic Landmark. These are beautifully sculpted gardens in Central Florida that offers visitors a serene place to visit. At the very front in the Visitor's Center they show what flowers are currently in bloom, so you know what to be on the lookout for. In addition, various wildlife roam the park, so keep your eyes open for that too (including snakes!).
The main attraction here though is the Singing Tower itself. This gorgeous tower in the center of the garden can't be entered by the general public, but it's artwork on the outside is amazing. In addition, a few times a day, a musician plays a Carillon inside the tower that can be heard everywhere in the garden. There is one spot set up so you can see a live feed of the musician as he plays and he does come out after each performance to talk with guests and answer questions.
Overall, this is a good place to spend an hour or two, especially for nature lovers.
