Jo Jo's Cupcake & Cream
On a beautiful spring day in downtown Annapolis, MD, we were craving some of the wonderful looking cupcakes AND ice cream that others were walking around town with. Then we stumbled across Jo Jo's, which offers a 1 scoop of ice cream and cupcake sundae combo (perfect!). We chose the Cookie Monster cupcake and Cookie Monster ice cream (because, YOLO?).
The cupcake was moist and the icing was delicious. The ice cream was creamy and had a lot of chunks in it. Combined, it was the perfect treat on a warm spring day.

Sprinkles Cupcakes - Beverly Hills
Although Sprinkles cupcakes has grown and now has multiple locations across the US, the original is located in Beverly Hills, CA. This was a must-do on our Hollywood to-do list, and we weren't disappointed! (We even did it twice!)
Also, situated between Sprinkles Cupcakes and Sprinkles Ice Cream is the one and only Sprinkles Cupcake ATM. The ATM is open 24 hours and stocked with cupcakes for that late night snack craving. Be prepared though; both the shop and the ATM can draw big crowds and make for a decent wait to get your sweet tooth craving fulfilled.

Fun and Delicious Sweets Found at Philly Cupcake
In a small corner storefront on Chestnut Street is one of Philadelphia’s brightest, most delicious and inventive food stops. Philly Cupcake offers a variety of cupcakes, including classic cupcakes like chocolate cake with buttercream icing and red velvet with cream cheese icing. They also make fancy cupcakes that are as unique as the shop itself.
We tried Twix Dream and The Massacre, both of which were delicious and beautiful. Twix Dream comes in either chocolate and vanilla cupcake with Twix chunks (yum) and caramel buttercream icing (double yum).
The Massacre is a very moist chocolate cupcake with peanut butter buttercream frosting and topped with Reese’s cups and crumbled Reese’s on top. If you are a peanut butter lover, this one is definitely for you.
With so much attention paid to these delicious personal sized cakes, how better to display them then as beautiful pieces of art in china cabinets lined on one side of the shop. A baker will help you choose a cupcake and wrap it up for you. You can even ask questions and ask for their favorite.
Besides their delicious cupcakes, the shop is quaintly decorated with a counter that is a bureau painted pink, a large chandelier hangs from the ceiling and cupcakes line the walls. From outside the building, as you walk down 12th Street in Philadelphia, you can watch as the bakers mix, ice, decorate and bake new cupcakes. As with the rest of the shop, the kitchens are decorated brightly.
However, words cannot describe the energy and brightness in the store. You almost have to see it for yourself.
Philly Cupcake is located at 1132 Chestnut Street in Philadelphia. They are cash only. Check them out on Facebook and Twitter for more information and photos.

Decadent cupcakes by ICED by Betsy
Named one of the best cupcakeries in Philadelphia on the Philly Hot List in 2010, ICED by Betsy bakes up indulgent, gourmet cupcakes in traditional and not-so-traditional flavors.
We tried the Pieces of Reeses, a peanut butter cupcake, filled with chocolate mousse, frosted with chocolate buttercream and loaded to the brim with chunks peanut butter cups.
The cake was moist itself, but the mousse and icing made this cupcake amazingly delicious. This was my first time tasting an ICED by Betsy cupcake, and now I am looking forward to trying more and more!
ICED by Betsy can be found at the Phoenixville Farmers’ Market, the Kennet Square Farmers’ Market and the Skippack Farmers’ Market, as well as at Artisan’s Gallery and Café in Phoenixville and the New York Bagel Café and Deli in West Chester.
For all the up to date information on flavors and where to find ICED by Betsy cupcakes, find them on Facebook or on Twitter.
