Tucson Tamale Company

We stopped at Tucson Tamale Company, on Broadway Blvd., for lunch. The location is a counter order restaurant with a lot of options. We ordered the Santa Fe tamale, with pork loin and cheese and served with a green chile sauce - and the chile relleno tamale.

The Santa Fe was definitely our favorite, the cheese and the smoky meat balancing with the sweet corn tamale. The chile relleno was good, but slightly unbalanced because of the chile within. However, once you made it to the chile and the cheese, it was a delicious meal. Even where there wasn't chile, the corn cake and cheese was very good.
