"Catch Me If You Can"

Tonight, we got to see an excellent musical, "Catch Me If You Can", based on the movie starring Tom Hanks and Leonardo DiCaprio of the same title, which in turn is based on a true story.  The play's plot stuck to the same story as the movie, but presented it in a much more entertaining manner.  The songs fit in very nicely and the set changes were done very well to make the audience feel a part of each scene.

This was definitely a musical we'd recommend to anyone.  It is currently in Philadelphia at the Academy of Music until January 20th, and touring around the country after that.  If you're in Philly, make sure to catch it before the show leaves.  Otherwise, check out their site to see more dates.

Million Dollar Quartet

Are you a fan of Elvis?  Johnny Cash?  Carl Perkins?  Jerry Lee Lewis?  Then "Million Dollar Quartet" is the show you need to see!  This show takes place on 1 night in 1956, when all 4 of these legendary musicians got together in a Sun Records recording studio.  Music of all 4 is played live throughout, and the cast does a stellar job with their musical performances, as well as imitating the original rock stars.  We thoroughly enjoyed all 2 hours of this show and we'd recommend it to anyone interested in just having a good time listening to top-notch classic rock music.

The show is touring around the country, and is right now in the middle of a one-week stint at the Forrest Theatre in Philadelphia from December 11 to December 16.
